Mayor Role
Mayor

May publicly reveal their role. Once revealed, their next vote counts triple. Sided with the village.

About

The Mayor is a respected leader in the village who can choose to publicly reveal their role. Once revealed, their next vote in the Courthouse counts triple. The Mayor's reveal is a one-time action that cannot be undone, and the triple vote can only be used once, so timing is crucial.

Common Strategies

The Mayor should carefully consider when to reveal and when to use their triple vote. Revealing too early makes you a target for the Mafia, but you need to reveal before you can use the triple vote. The best time to reveal is often when you're confident about who the Mafia is and are preparing to use the triple vote to secure an execution. Remember that once you vote with the triple power, you become a regular voter again. If you're arrested by the Deputy after revealing but before using your triple vote, you waste that day's opportunity. Watch out for the Kamikaze - if you reveal, you become a high-value target for them to blow up. Consider coordinating with protective roles like the Doctor before revealing.

Interactions

The Mayor does not visit anyone at night, so they cannot be killed by Granny and are not seen by Creeper. Once the Mayor reveals, their identity becomes public knowledge and their next vote counts as three votes. After using the triple vote once, the Mayor votes normally. The Mayor can be arrested by the Deputy, which prevents them from voting (and may waste their one chance to use the triple vote if they've already revealed). The Mayor can be toasted, which prevents them from revealing that night. A revealed Mayor becomes a high-priority target for Mafia kills and Kamikaze attacks.
